The hills of Estancia are filled with shrines and temples dedicated to a large religious sect of the old empire, one that worships old gods of nature. Much of the first mutated Soil Ghots seeked refuge in these shrines when the estancian government hunted them down to cover up the side effects of the wonderlizer. Today, most of these shrines have been taken over by bandits and criminals to turn into hideouts in the estancian gray zone.
